I feel the same way! From what I understand, now that the resort is chosen, and date and time of the ceremony, I don't have to book our reception site, flowers, cake, etc. until much closer to the date. This drives me crazy! He he. What do your BM's dresses look like? I'm stuck on choosing colours :S
*waves hello* back!

I am struggling with choosing colours as well! At first I was thinking about turquoise and coral, with accents of lime green and brown (fairly common colours I see on here!) but FI was not having the same visions as I was... Then I saw some cute summery BMs dresses in royal blue, and FI loves royal blue (or "Canucks blue" for you hockey fans out there, lol), so I figured that would be a safe colour to start with. So... now I'm thinking about royal blue with aqua or light blue (maybe tiffany blue?) and yellow. What do you girls think? Any other ideas on what would look great with royal blue?

As you can see from my siggy, we've got quite a few booked so far!
But I don't think that's the norm from what I have seen on here. We have been getting great early pricing from Dreams (which my TA has promised will only go up) since it was new, and kids were free, so we really encouraged people to book early. Haven't booked any flights yet though...

I can't figure out how to quote a message in my reply? LOL

Jen - we got a great group rate through my travel agent, so had sort of an early bird deal, and so far have about 35 people booked. I think between now and December we will get more slowly booking. A lot of our guests can't commit this far in advance due to work, school, etc.

Are you working with a travel agent/wedding planner?

My aunt is a travel agent on the side, she books all my parents (and my dad's siblings) vacations and always knows the best deal. We chose the time we did because it works with both our schedules and our families. Kory and I are staying ten days, and his family can only make it the first seven days, and then my family can only make it the last seven days, and then we have family and friends doing shorter 4 day stays. So group discounts didn't really seem to work for us. But my aunt is keeping an eye on when the charters come out and she says its usually the end of May to sometime in July where she's found the best prices for December. So we are waiting. I'd be a bit more nervous, but we did this for my sisters wedding a year and half ago in Jamaica, and all worked out well! :)

We booked our rooms and have had two other couples book their rooms. Thats all we have so far. I know people have called us to say they plan on making it but extra bookings yet. I think its hard to commit this far out sometimes. We haven't booked flights yet, hoping to find a good deal as it gets closer.
