Keep those ideas coming, ladies! I'm having to pack all my stuff and will have to have family or BM's set it all up, so small, inexpensive and classy is what I'm looking for. But I think there will definitely be starfish. Maybe just a single starfish and single candle per table.

Just remeber to factor in the wind when you get into the rose petals on the tables. We couldn't use them on the day of.

I used the photo frames idea. I posted in another thread but here are some pictures.

I put every couples picture in the frame, then they took it that night with them.

If you have any BM I used there bouquets and mine for the flowers in the middle of the frames.

I hope that helps some.

Oh, that's nice! How did you manage to get all the couples pics? I think it would be like pulling teeth for me... If I can swing it, I'll do it though because it looks great!!!

I had them and the ones I didn't have I started bringing my camera with me if I knew I was going to see them.

we are using the candle holders from crate & barrel that i got a great deal on...they have dark wood bases and then we are putting aqua color rocks in the bottom of the glass with a white (or ivory....haven't decided that part yet) candle in the middle of the rocks. it worked out so good because our colors are aqua/turquoise and chocolate...and the wood in the candle holder has a chocolatey color. i would post a pic of the candle holder but i can't seem to find it anymore online....

let us know what you come up with!

okay, I'm home so I can finally contribute to this thread... we are having issues too... my cousin is sending me ideas here and there, we will still used flowers but very little.. (I'm thinking).

Here are my thoughts so far...

I guess, these candle base are really popular in Mexico, from what she's told me.

I really love the height and could replace the flowers with tall grass?? (roccodesigner.com)Click the image to open in full size.

and replace the roses with river rocks and scatter random orchids around the them??

or maybe add this anthirum?? (prisarvallarta.com)

I found a vendor in MX who makes these candles/bases

They were charging me about $13 for something like this (includes base and 2 candles)

And I'm planning on contacting these bulk flower growers that Merryme informed us about.
