Welcome to the forum. Seems like you have alot ahead of you so why not head over to the Mexico forums and ask a few brides for some feedback. Also don't forget to use the search tool, since many answers can be found there as well. In any event hope you enjoy the forum and good luck planning!

Any brides getting married in either October or November 2011 and concerned about hurricane season and or rain?

We are looking at booking our wedding either the first weekend in October or around November 11th.

Does anyone know if one is less risky for rain or are both months in Playa typically the same?

If anyone has any advice on whether October or November might be better and or thoughts on Wedding Insurance, etc. please respond.  Any thoughts are truly appreciated!

Hi LAH 1113

I'm getting married on Nov. 4th.

We've been told by many locals that the weather in Nov is great!  We also thought about the potential risk of hurricanes. But after looking at airfare and hotel rates, Nov. just seems to be a much better option for us price wise. Though, no matter what month, there's always a risk I guess. We went to a wedding in the RM in Feb. and many flights were cancelled because of the weather here in the US. I also went there for work last April, and got stuck indoors because of pouring rain everyday I was there.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a sunny day!

Good luck to you as well!

welcome4.gifWelcome to the forum! Probably one of the most fun activities we have been on with one of our couples is a snorkeling trip from Catamaya catamarans. The sunset cruise is AMAZING!! There are SO many things to do down there. A trip to Cozumel and renting scooters/jeeps to see the island is really fun too. Bob Marley's is at the tip of the island and a great place to sip coconut drinks and watch the sunset across the ocean. Ahhhh..... :)
