Excellence Playa Mujeres or Secrets Maroma Beach

We am in the beginning stages of planning our wedding and have been only engaged for a month. I need to set a date! We know for sure Mexico but I am not sure which location. Thinking about October 16th or 23rd. Anyone out there getting married or have experiences at either of these locations?

 

I have read a ton about Maroma but curious about Excellence Playa Mujeres. It looks amazing!

Last year my FI and I vacationed at Secrests Silver Sands but we got a chance to visit Maroma Beach and IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our FAV part about it was that the beach was WONDERFUL!

you can actually swim in it, its not too rocky and the sand!!!! Oh my goodness the sand! It was like walking on flour, or sugar. It was the softest sand I have ever felt.

We wanted to host our wedding there but cant since its all adult

 

But! I did recommend a gf of mine who got engaged after me and she's having her wedding there this October! So I am very excited for her!

Welcome and Congrats. We are getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres in Sept. This resort is awesome and you will be treated like royalty there. We went there when it first opened and knew it was the place for us. Happy Planning!

Congrats Heather and welcome to the forum. I haven't been to secrets maroma but we have heard so many nice things about the resort that we are looking into this resort as our honeymoon resort. We needed a kid friendly resort so we decided not to have our wedding there. You'll find a few threads on Secrets Maroma, I think there is one for Excellence as well. Enjoy planning!
