I was successfull in editing the Indesign file and the STDs look amazing! Thank you so much Sara! When I joined the forum, I was torn between magnet STDs and bording pass STDs, but this is a combination of both ideas. I will post the final design once I create some envelopes and print them on the magnet sheets! I am so excited I cant wait to print them out :)

That is sooo awsome. I am really happy that someone else could use the template I designed. It was kinda a pain because I hate numbers and measuring. So it should only be done once =) Not mult times by multi people. Do you own Indesign? Use it prior? Let me know if you need help with generating printer files.

Just a note. If you use the magnet sheets, It helps to cut them on a paper cutter. My FI tried to use a Xecto (sp) Knife..and non of them pass quality control (Meaning...I made him due them over / wouldnt send them lol ) They cuts were not even.

The envelope...Hmm how to explain.

The Indesign Template is two pages. They are to be printed on 1 sheet of paper. Front to Back.

There are dotted guide lines that represent fold lines and cut lines. ( The Green Guide Lines Do not Print, They are used for measurements)
  1. 1. You cut the VERTICAL guide line (Seen on Page 1 ) until you reach the Diagonal Solid Line. Once you reach the Diagonal line Stop.
  2. 2. You Cut the Diagonal Solid Line and it will create a .25in tab for you.
  3. 3. You then fold the HORIZONTAL Dotted Lines AND the tab...Then Glue the Tab under the section above it.

Hope that helps.. Let me know if it doesn't. Maybe I can make a tutorial or something

Finnally Figuered out how to post pics

I could probably do these for other people if they didnt mind using something similar to the template I already created in regards to size. I believe its 3.5 x 8 inches for the magenet. If they wanted something custom it would take more time. The envolope is about 8.5 x 11 with maybe 4 folds. It is printed double sided.

When I first started my STD's I wasnt able to find boarding passes that where also full magnets. So I decide to make my own. I have designed a lot of stuff from tradeshows and other promo pieces so it wasnt very difficult. I contacted a bunch of STD vendars and magnet manufactors and no one would do them because I wanted a small size run. I printed 50. The magnet sheets came really handy and were very easy to cut.

I will try to post better pictures tonight. The camera didnt really focus the text at all.
