I have been to them all, LOL....

Bello - Service wasn't great. They helped with getting the dresses on but seemed very rushed and offered no help or suggestions. I did find a dress there that I liked - the lady helping me said they would give me a discount for ordering so early (this was in July - my wedding isn't until Nov 11). I went back there with my bridesmaids and a new lady was helping - she completely denied this being possible. Luckily I started having second thoughts and decided not to go with this dress.

Lisa's - Service was fine. Good selection. The lady was VERY rude to my friend who had her phone out to text her boyfriend about being late for their dinner plans. She told my friend she had to put her phone away because no pictures were allowed. My friend turned the phone around to show her that she was sending a text message but the lady was so rude despite that. It completely sourced the experience and I actually took off the dress and left - she was THAT rude.

Bryan's - The first place I went. No complaints! Good prices, cheaper dresses than the other places, plenty of selection, and good service. Mallory helped me.

Sposa New West - GREAT experience! The lady was very helpful, gave us great opinions and suggestions, and not pushy at all. They had many discounted dresses as well as newer dresses. I found the prices to be $1000+

Sposa Couture - THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! Rita helped me out, and I actually had an appointment back to back with a girlfriend who is also engaged. They do not have the largest selection (lots of Enzoani), but that didn't matter to either me or my girlfriend because we both found "the" dress here. Dresses are $1500-$3000.... which is why I haven't purchased mine yet - I'm having trouble telling myself it is okay to spend $2900 including tax on my dress! There was also a dress at Sposa New West that I loved - and Rita said that they could bring either dress to whatever location is more convienent for me so I could try them on back to back. I am going to take her up on that offer! Just like the lady at Sposa New West (I think they are sisters, and the lady in NW is the owner) Rita was super helpful, not pushy, and gave me valid opinions that I appreciated and wasn't overwhelmed or insulted by. My friend and I both said we would have a hard time buying knockoff dresses because of how amazing Rita was. My friend has already purchased her dress, actually!!!

Sposa Couture is in White Rock right along Marine Drive.... a bit of a trek to get to but it's so pretty down there and it's a nice excuse to go for a walk along the water and lunch. If there is a dress you really want to try on, they can always bring it to the Sposa in New West for you, just call a few days in advance (I know Sposa Couture carries Enzoani - the regular, more expensive collection - they carry 2 other brands but I forgot which!!)

I appreciate your review.  Where is Sposa Couture?  In New West?

Thanks,

My favorite places were on Columbia St in New Westminster. Sposa Wedding World, Lisa's Bridal and Bridal Gallery are all within walking distance of each other!! I Loved Sposa and Bridal Gallery and bought my dress from Sposa!

Worst experience was at Bryans Bridal in Brentwood Mall... the consultant kept on putting me in huge dresses that I specifically told her I did not want and then when I told her they were too poofy she told me I was wrong...haha

I loved my experiences at Bello Wedding World and Isabelle's Bridal - by far the best places to shop for a wedding dress IMO. I ended up buying my dress from Isabelle's and I LOVE it!  Kasia helped me and I absolutely love her and her twin sister Basia! (my wedding day happens to be their birthday, how cool is that?!)

I had the worst time at Bryan's Bride in Brentwood. Can't remember my consultant's name but she wasn't really listening to me and kept putting me in gowns she thought were 'beach appropriate'. I didn't exactly have a specific dress or style in mind but I kept telling her I didn't like the dresses she was pulling for me. She kept trying to convince me that those were best for my short and curvy frame. Needless to say, I left.

I steered clear or Bisou and Blush because their dresses, while they look fabulous, are over my budget. I didn't want to risk falling in love with a gown I can't afford.

I made appointments to check out the shops on Bridal Row in New West, including Bridal Gallery, on a Saturday but ended up finding THE dress from Isabelle's the day before! i can't say about the experience there but have heard mixed reviews from other brides.

I got my dress at Image in White in New West, and loved it. Diane the owner is so nice and helpful, and makes you feel like one of the family once you buy a dress there. Her followup has been so great. It is a smaller shop so you definitely get the one on one attention.

Lisa's Bridal was also good, I found the ladies nice and helpful. Bridal Gallery, I wasn't too keen on, the ladies were a bit snobbish and it always seemed busy & crowded in there.

I had a good experience at Bryans Bridal in Brentwood Mall, but I think it was because my consultant was great, her name is Halle. She let me look through the entire store and put clips on the dresses I liked then brough them to the room with me and helped me try them on. My mom and cousion came with me as well. It was my first store and like 4th or 5th dress! My mom thought we were going to have to try on a million dresses and go to the states or something, she was so suprised that I found a dress the first time looking.

Any brides on a budget, I would recommend shopping at Bryans. http://www.venusbridal.com/bridals/venus-informals/VN6609  this is my dress, it was $400 but with alterations (i am making the neckline more sweatheart) it will be around $550.

Happy dress hunting!

Amanda
