That's what I am doing! I got this option too before they changed it. In that case don't worry about the bar because you pay a $10/person fee for alcohol. Atleast that is what I was told. When is your wedding? I’m happy we found each other, we’ll be able to support each other )

My WC told me that the 10$/person was because they were closing the terrace to other guests and I would have waiters dedicated to my wedding only. She never mentioned alcohol. Can you forward me the info she gave you please..

It's probably the same thing. Yadilis called it that back when I booked with Maritee she called it alcohol surcharge. Either way I have 30 people so it is $300 plus the rental fee.

Ok I just went through this all..my suggestion to you guys? Call the hotel direct and ask someone else because I just got married there and if you are waiting for sandra to get back to you you'll be waiting forever!

Hi Ladies!  I am getting married July 30, 2011.  I asked my WC about the $500 per hour open bar option at the Wet Bar and she said it includes renting the area, basic set-up, sound system, and national open bar.  Do you guys know what the basic set-up includes?  I think it might include white chair covers and tablecloths and then I can bring my own chair sashes and table runners.  Not sure.  Thanks!

I'm considering doing an open bar for my "welcome" cocktail party or at my wedding reception at the Majestic Colonial too - wedding date May 21, 2011. But I didn't think of bringing my own liquor??

They have supermarkets where you can get alcohol "in a safe way" whatever that means. Ask the hotel how much they charge for opening a bottle of alcohol brought from outside the resort.

10 a bottle... well I mean getting about 1000 worth of alcohol is scary to me!!
