I know that she definitely can do that, she has done it before where she sections off a section of the sand with paper lanterns and lights.

My FIs only request for the reception was to have a lighted dance floor...lol.. he saw it in a picture and immediately wanted it.  And I didn't want just sand because I wasn't sure how loose the sand would be and I didn't want sand in the air while people were dancing.  I know in some places the sand is pretty dense/packed so it's not an issue, I personally just didn't want to risk it.

But I can see how dancing in the sand under the stars can be very romantic :)

I'm still pretty sure we're going to dance inside the restaurant, so really, anthing goes. If we decide to go outside, I'm definitely dancing in the sand! I just can't justify the extra cost for a dance floor. But the lit one is really beautiful :)

Hi Ladies,

I noticed that a lot of resorts such as Dreams had Facebook groups for brides to share photos and information in addition to the boards and that there wasn't a group specific to Jelly Fish Brides on Facebook so I created one. Please feel free to join the group and share pictures and ideas. I thought it would be easier to view the pictures in albums instead of having to search the entire thread for pics.

This is a question for those that have already had their weddings - if they are still reading this :)

How long was the visit with Mayte before your wedding day? I'm cutting it kind of close because we land on Saturday and my wedding is on Monday. And now my flight times have changed and we don't get there until 10pm Saturday. I have a lot to do on Sunday!!! I have to put together the OOT bags, meet with Mayte, I wanted to buy favours in the Dominican, and have the welcome dinner. Starting to stress that it's too much to do!

Thank you!

So photography and videography are eating up 60% of my budget so now I need to cut cost elsewhere. I know a few girls didn't not rent the entire Jellyfish restaurant to themselves and I was wondering exactly how this worked out for you. I'm probably only going to have about 25 guest so I don't think its completely necessary to rent out the whole thing.

To all the ladies who have already gotten married at Jellyfish - did any of you do a photo slideshow?  We are having our rehearsal dinner at Jellyfish in April and I wanted to know if the setup there permitted a slideshow to be projected somewhere away from the main eating area.  I would prefer to not have a slideshow that is a formal part of the evening, rather, allow guests to mill around and check it out on their own.

Thank you!
