I just got bank transfer info from Mayte. She said my date for March 2013 is confirmed, but I think we still want to send some sort of deposit just to solidify it even more.

BTW, I think it's AWESOME that Mayte takes care of place cards and menus. It's just one less thing to worry about!

I am planning on sending my STDs by the end of March for 12 months of notice... and probably the invites somewhere around the end of summer/early fall.

We are using Michael and Pascal from Caribbean Emotions...I've heard nothing but wonderful things about them....

We are using Julia Eskin http://juliaeskin.com/index.html#/home-2/  She is Canadian and lives in Punta Cana for part of the year.  Katya Nova is another great option although I am not sure if she will be in Punta Cana net year or not

HI Ladies... I was hoping that some past brides can help me with some flower advice.  I sent Mayte my flower inspiration pic and she sent me back a quote.  it was a lot lower than I was expecting... which should be a good thing right :)  Well it had me thinking... How close to the original pic would my flowers look?

So I'm asking if any past brides that got real flowers for their weddings at the Jellyfish if you could share with me any inspiration pics along with a pic of what your actual bouquet looked like so I can compare?

Thanks!

I do remember seeing that picture.  I was just hoping that wasn't luck...lol... I don't know why but I get super nervous about not knowing for sure.  Also, I don't know how much flowers costs (I haven't really looked around) so when I got the quote I wasn't sure if that sounded right for what I wanted.  this is the picture I sent her:

picture 1.jpg  And she quoted me $180.  For anyone that knows about flowers, does that sound right?  Also, do you think they'd be able to recreate that?

Do you mind sharing what she quoted you? (you can PM me)  We leave in one week from today and am starting to get nervous about the budget becuase all the little things (earrings, OOT bags, etc) add up!! So, I am not sure how to budget for flowers. We only need one bouquet.

I think that sounds about right. She said orchids are the most expensive (those look like orchids?) She said roses tend to be cheaper. I have no exact idea of what I want! I sent her about 8 pictures and she said that was a lot of different ideas, lol.  Is the $180 for only the bouquet?
