DMV!! :-P

Exactly JY!

I have people that don't drink, people who drink a lot, and potentially some underage so I have no idea what my happy medium is at this point!

Thanks for that info Ivendram!  I have so many picky eaters that I don't know how I would do a plated meal so i've been very concerned about that.  I thought about doing different packages for alcohol for the cocktail hour and after dinner too but i'm still not sure.  I'm thinking the tab might be the best option for the harder alcohols too.

In regards to the bus is that $7/trip or just $7 and then that covers them to go to and from?

Thanks ladies, someone sent me the info - I really appreciate it.

That's a good question - $7 each way or $7 for the night?  I saw on the list that it said the bride gets separate transportation, which I am really excited about.

Which photog is everyone using?

I'm so excited, it's like 95% certain that we'll be booking our wedding at Jellyfish - it's exactly what my fiance and I wanted in a wedding!  I just hope it's not overbudget.  I think you can do it at any budget really since there are so many options, but I want to add everything! lol

Hi

Hey Meg!  First things first - you should email Mayte and send her a list of approximate dates so that she can get back to you with availability of the restaurant. Many dates are indeed booked well into 2015, but there are some that are still open.  Another amazing venue nearby that just started doing weddings is Huracan restaurant, more on that here: http://www.katyanovablog.com/huracan-cafe-punta-cana-wedding-alexandra-tyler/  HUGS,  K
Hi Katya, We are crossing our fingers for a date in January 2014 for the Jellyfish but know we may be out of luck, we are booked at Dreams Palm Beach and are now thinking about moving the reception off the resort. We are just wanting to find something less cookie cutter:) would you happen to have a contact for Huracan Cafe that you could share?

We used Blue Lagoon.  We were nervous to use them because there weren't many reviews but the pics turned out amazing.  http://bluelagoonstudio.com/2013/07/laura-robert-jellyfish-restaurant/

They only put a few pics on their site from our wedding and I don't think they even picked the best ones to put up.  It was $1200 for all day (1pm - 8pm) and Manuel was our photographer.  He busted his butt to get every angle and capture as much as he could.  As a favour to our guests we had him take pics for and hour an a half before the ceremony of all the couples / families that came out.  My niece took pics of me and the girls getting ready while he took pics of the people who came out.

Hi Ladies,

I am also waiting to hear if there is any space open at the Jellyfish resteraunt in Janaury 2014. We are already booked at Dreams Palm Beach and when we started getting more into the planning I was blown away with the costs of everything at the resort.

I also want something a little more different and not so cookie cutter... I wish we had looked more online earlier because I am worried if we can ever find a place to is more us:(

Does anyone on here know of any other off resort venues?

Thanks Ladies and congrats on your weddings and wish you all the luck with your special day at the Jellyfish!

Hello Brides,

We have a dilemma that we would like help with.

Did anyone run a tab instead of an open bar? What was the cost? PM me if you don't want to publicly disclose. Thanks in advanced.

Shavon
