Engaged 10 months, finally getting my butt into gear!

Hi everyone,

 

My name is Karina. My fiance (Omid) proposed last April, but because we're both grad students, we thought we'd just take the wedding planning nice and slow.

 

Now we are thinking we might aim for an April 2011 destination wedding, so I really need to get on this. I'm looking forward to being a member of this forum, as I have zero wedding knowledge and little time to invest in the planning.

 

We haven't selected a location yet, so looking for advice - we're thinking a nice balance of affordable for our guests, but still fun classy. I hear Punta Cana is probably our best bet, but we are open to other places as well.
