Hi ladies! I have a friend that is gettting married at this resort Jan 2011. I've been all over this site looking for information that I can give to her. When I had my destination wedding this websit was EXTREAMLY helpfull. Is there anyone out there that either is getting married here or has gotten married here??

Nope but I had some friends stay there a couple weeks ago because it was cheaper than the resort I got married at. They LOVED it! They wouldn't be helpful with wedding info but I can pass along any resort questions to them..

Thanks! It's crazy, when I got married last year there was TONES of brides that were married at the resort we were going to go to before the damn swin flu!!! I wonder if I can't find people because it's a newer resort? Thank you! I will tell her that they really enjoyed it there!

I'm getting married there next Feb and can;t Wait!!!  Its a beautiful hotel and had everything I wanted in a destination location.  Tell her to start googling, nobody else will be able to tell her whats right for herself!  Good luck finding info on the site, it has EVERYTHING!

Quick question for the Gran Bahia brides! Did you all work with a travel agent or go directly through Gran Bahia Principe? Do guests have to pay for their trip in full in order to book or do they accept a deposit?

I'm going through a travel agent, I needed to give $200 deposit per person, and to get the early booking bonus for a feb wedding it has to be paid by nov.  Calll around to travel agents and ask them what their policy is.

We are also staying here for our wedding in Feb. Also going through a TA and our guests need $200 deposit down. Instead of an early booking bonus if everyone is paid by a certain date then the 17th person goes free. We are flying our photog down so hopefully we can apply the free person to that.

We are getting married there in May 2011...we went through a travel agent who booked through FunJet Vacations and they are offering us an additional discount for everyone booking under our wedding group
