Who does the cooking??

It's sad, but we live on lean cuisines, cereal and sandwiches. Neither of us likes to cook, so it's either something simple or we order in. God help us when we have kids!

Ryan does the cooking I hate it and am horrible at it and he really enjoys it. I take care of the baking I LOVE to bake.

Both of us love cooking and each have our "specialties"...

 

I tend to do more stovetop cooking and oven baking, but I like simple cooking that packs a punch; like rib-eye steaks with a red wine sauce and a side of brandied mushrooms, with some garlic parmesan smashed up potatos; or sun-dried tomato fettucini alfredo with roasted chicken and some french loaf bread with sun-dried pesto and parmesan baked on top.

 

On the weekends, Frank does the cooking. He does some mean broiling of meats if he's cooking indoors! But he loves being the grill master: grilling homemade pizzas, or veggies sauteed on the grill, chicken, ribs, brisket, etc...

 

Whomever doesn't do the actual cooking takes care of dinner table set-up and clean-up. It works well for us...

90% of the men in my family are Italian and cook their asses off! The women can cook too, but the men take the lead and the women let them, lol. My father is a chef that has cooked all over the world so I grew up with a mix of European cuisine and rustic southern Italian cooking (mama).

 

In my home, I do most of the cooking. Hubby cooks when he must, but I've spoiled him with family recipes AND I really really enjoy cooking so it's all good. Don't we already have a recipe exchange here somewhere? We should revive it.

I don't really like to cook. FI does most of the cooking during the summer because we grill a lot. I'll usually cook the sides, he does the main course. But during the winter I sometimes cook more, but I hate it and I'm not good at it!

I wish Amos cooked!!! I cook all the time, he says if it's his turn to cook we are going out!!

Ricky does the cooking and he even washes the dishes!!!!

I dont mind cooking but I work 12 hr shifts so I am not in the mood to cook when I get home
