I couldn't decide on a short dress or a long one so I compromised and bought this:

I loved the picture, wasn't totally sold when I saw it but was back in love with it when I tried it on at the seamstress. Their size chart is RIGHT on. The only alterations it needed was to pin the fold at the top in a bit (they stuck out too much for my taste) and to resew the lining (it was stitched in some weird way). I go for my final fitting this week!

I am going dress shopping next week and like both short, mermaid, and flowy dresses but am torn. My mother thinks a short dress would be very me but is still skeptical if we can find one here that will still look bridal. My best friend suggested getting a more elaborate veil if I choose a short dress which I think is a good idea. I am so excited to go dress shopping but so nervous. I have been engaged for 3 years and I decided not to try one on until I was going to purchase one! I do love all the short dresses on here and feel better after hearing that I am not the only bride having doubts about getting a short dress:)

here is my dress I was going to long at first but I think this will be more comfortable and I won't want to just rip it off! I'm pairing it with a small birdcage veil.
