Awesome!! Good luck!!  I'm mid-week in week 11!!  I don't know how in shape you already are..i'm assuming pretty good since you are running 5 miles and lifting already!!  But I lost a little over an inch in my waist/belly/hips in my first 6-8 weeks!  I went from a size 6 down to a 2/4 (depending on the brand) and I still have 2 1/2 weeks left of the program.  I think you'll definitely see results in the next two months!  Definitely don't base your results on weight-loss, especially if you are already in decent shape.  If you are looking to track results, I would take pictures and do measurements!  I have only lost 3 1/2lbs, (121.5 down from 125) and that no where near reflects my results!

I'm not doing any other workout besides P90X...I don't have TIME!!! haha ... but if you want to, more power to you!  I would just make sure to maybe stick with cardio based workouts?  The workouts are designed around muscle confusion, so you don't want to get into a regimine that will mess with that.

Together we've both become avid runners actually completing our first Marathon in Feb, but in Texas it's getting too hot too fast!

We're both really excited, anxious and scared with P90X, although won't complete the program before we leave for the Wedding I'm hoping we'll see "some" results by then. Our plan is to still continue our outdoor running in the mornings and then do the the videos in the evenings (neither one of us can give up our love of running).

Do any of you do any other type of workout in addition to P90X?

I wasn't concerned with lbs either...I know from years of experience that my weight just plain doesn't fluctuate much.  I have been between 123-126 for YEARS.  This is actually the first time that I have gotten below 123 (I weighed in at 120.2 today)...so that definitely adds to my feeling of success.  I started at around 126, so my goal if I could lose weight was to be at 120...but my overall size change is what thrills me more than anything.  I have NEVER been a size 4! (or 2..which I'm wearing today!)

Hey!!  Welcome to the forum!!  I feel like I'm the only one left!?  I do have a link where you can get the entire program for around $55, but I will have to look it up at home (i'm at work now).  I actually finished P90X quite a few weeks ago and have been playing around with the Insanity discs off and on since then.  I can honestly say, especially if you are a beginning or not someone who works out regularly, I would definitely recommend P90X over Insanity.  I absolutely loved P90X.  Obviously after 8-10 weeks in you will definitely start feeling like an hour every single day gets harder and harder to stick with, but I was nothing but happy with my results, and I honestly did enjoy the workouts.  Insanity is seriously named that way for a reason -- its nuts!!! I did my first Insanity workout after finishing 13 weeks of P90X and I still wanted to die lol.  I really don't think that program is meant for a beginner and definitely think it is best placed AFTER P90X to switch up your workouts and keep burning fat.  It is an intense cardio prorgam...and 5 minutes into the warm up I feel like my chest is going to beat right out of my body lol.  I'm still doing Ab Ripper X from P90X and some cardio from Insanity every once in awhile, but am thinking I'll probably start back up P90X after I get back from my wedding.

I hope this helps!?  What are your goals for the program!?!

Hey ladies! Just wanted to say HI! I started P90x Saturday! This is my 2nd round of it. I did P90x then I completed Insanity. They are 2 different programs & I agree they are more for advanced people. I will say after doing Insanity & then going back to P90x it seems like it moves soooo slow now! lol! Insanity is such a fast paced cardio program it went by so quick. But I do love them both. I was debating on doing a hybrid but wasn't sure which ones to substitute for.

Oh yeah, after doing some Insanity I know going back to P90X will feel SO slow haha.  But honestly, I like it better that way.  I don't really care for the crazy fastness (not a word lol) of Insanity.  I have no doubt that working out with that kind of intensity can work wonders, but I saw the results I wanted and loved from the slower workouts in P90X and I enjoyed working out with that much more.

Thanks for the help girls. I would love that link when ever you get a chance! I did insanity for like 2 weeks but I definitely couldn't do it every day! Like you said I would start dying right after the "warm -up" lol Plus I don't have the whole "program" my friend let me borrow the CD with the workouts but never explained to me everything else. I would just love to lose like 10 pounds but more importantly tighten up.  I see a lot of wiggling going on....more than I ever remember lol So if I could control that I would be a happy girl! I'm not real caught up in weight, I just like to feel good. Right now I don't feel like I would be comfortable in a bikini or in a dress! lol

I wanted to try something different & mix it up so I did try Turbo Fire for like a week and was not a fan at all. I just couldn't get the moves down. The camera angles were no help & every time I finally got the move she would change it & do another. I ended up yelling & cursing at the tv more then working out. lol! So I went back to P90x & I will say I did have better results with P90x then Insanity. But I am sure its different for everyone. I don't know if its because it was a longer program or something but you can't go wrong with either.

-swojdyla good luck with P90x! I am sure you will like it.

I am surprised I am as sore as I am again!!! How funny that I remember all of Tony's little sayings lol!

Here you go!!!!

When I started the program I wasn't really so much concerned with weight either, I just wanted to tone up that "wiggle/jiggle" you talk about haha.  All in all I lost only 5 lbs, but lost 2 inches all around in my waist and belly, an inch and 1/2 in my hips and moved from a size 6 down to a 2/4. After 30 days I lost an inch and that was enough to keep me motivated.  Make sure to do measurements so that you can really track your loss!  Its so much more than weight.  I took pics too and can definitely tell a difference.
