I think the Tech will do stuff like that, or I think I have read on posts that the WC and assistant stay with you during the reception...so they might be able to do it too!

We are also taking song requests from our guests.  I think I saw that on a post from a few months ago and thought it was a great idea!

From the documents I have seen:

DJ for 4 hours $1,495.00

DJ for 2 Hours $995.00

No DJ just Equipment for DJ $385.00

I-Pod $220

Don't know if this info is up to date for 2011, but I am guessing it is close.

Also if you are getting the DVD from Palace resorts, the videographer used all the music we used without us requesting it, which was really cool.  Kind of a behind the scenes thing.  Worked out really well.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Alison,

Did your WC put you in touch with JSAV?  The only options they sent over to us were the packages they had listed in their "DJ Packages" spreadsheet that they sent with all of the other information.  Is this something completely separate?  Whatever you used sounds WAY better!  How did you go about getting that all set up?

Thanks so much!

Does anyone know if the 2010 menus are the same for 2011? I tried to ask my Miami coordinator and she said my coordinatior in Cancun will be in touch with me 90 days before. Urghhh I am working on my invites now and I want to put the food options on one of the response cards. Was anyone able to put their food options on? If not how did it work for the plated dinners?

Thanks everyone!!!

The first time I talked to my Miami coord she told me someone would be in contact with me within 90 days of my date.  I just sent an email back saying I didn't want to wait that long and wouldn't bug the on site contact much and she sent me on site coord's email.  I forget her name off the top of my head but she responded quickly and sent me a menu without me asking.  Maybe just ask Miami again??

I wanted to do the same thing.  But isnt it a buffet style type of deal with the Moon Palace?  If so, then how are going to provide food options?  I am only asking because I wanted to also do the same thing, but figured if it's buffet then it's kind of a eat what's there type of deal.
