Does anyone have a sample of the "Edited DVD 1 hour" from Moon Palace's Smile Market?  I'm wondering if it's worth the $440 or if I should just as family to record as much as they can...

They're both on the Sunrise side.  Barracuda doesn't have A/C.  It has fans and gets a little ocean breeze, but if you think your guests would prefer A/C, you should choose La Gondola.  Barracuda is a steak house & pretty good.  They don't have a buffet there, so I'm assuming you'd get a set menu or everyone would get to order off the menu.  That would be something else to consider when making your decision.

 

Moving it to the day before your wedding wouldn't be a bad option either.  You could have a separate brunch for the ladies and then a "rehearsal dinner" that night.  Most wedding guests are probably accustomed to attending a rehearsal dinner (even though in this case there will probably not be a rehearsal).

 

I'm sure it will be a great night whatever you choose!

We officially decided on Moon Palace!  We put in for our date for May 30th 2012!  Can't wait to read all about the Moon Palace and all the information you girls have to offer!  So excited!

Okay... so by now, I think we all know about some of the issues MP has had in the past about giving different brides different answers. Some brides said that they were allowed to use the resort credit to pay for upgrades to the complimentary package - flowers, carriage, cake, dress/suit pressing,... They're telling me now that the 1500 can be put toward the spa/salon, golf, and tours, but it cannot be put toward "extras" to the complimentary package. Any of you brides have correspondence or experience with this? Much appreciated ladies!

I'd like the answer to this too because I choose the complimentary. I don't understand why you can apply your resort credit to all other packages and not the complimentary package. I don't care that it's complimentary, some how we're paying for it so it really isn't free. Besides, the complimentary is a package and I feel you should be able to upgrade using your resort credit with all packages.

You will not be able to use your credits to upgrade the complimentary.  Unfortunately, they will not make any exceptions with this.

There are MANY other things to use your credits for here.  It all depends on how many days you're staying.

We stayed 8 nights.  This gave us $300 credits to the spa, which we used all of and then had to pay cash for our couples massage.  My FI and his groomsmen golfed and used their credits.  Many people got the tequila that you can use your credits for.  There are nice creams in the spa that you can buy with your credits.  You can also do many tours.

DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR ROOM WITH THE CREDITS.  Chances are they will probably do that for you anyway.  

Some of our guests also did the lobster dinner and liked it.

I'd advise you to buy a few table runners and or chair sashes.  Buy some decor to put on the tables.  We used our bridesmaids bouquets for the center pieces and it looked great.

Also be flexible.  We were supposed to have our reception outside on the Tucan Terrace and they moved us to the ballroom.  I was not happy about this at first but my WC said there was a chance of rain.  All of my guests really preferred being in the ballroom because there was AC!

Thank You. I didn't know you could use your resort credit for decor! That's great! Now I can request colored linens. I'm going to ask my wedding coordinator first because we all know how they tell everyone something different. What they may have done for you, they may not do for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though
