Are you serious? What does the bracelet look like? Plastic? I was in a DW in the DR last year and we had a little nicer bracelets that were string and we were able to slide them off for the wedding. Will we not be able to do that? I can imagine the bracelets looking kind of weird in the pics. Ugh, another thing to worry about.

Oh, and I keep forgetting to tell all of you something. If you are getting jewelry for your bridesmaids, consider getting a cuff that will cover their resort wristbands. MP lets the bride and groom cut theirs off, but not the bridal party. I haven't seen our pictures yet, but it might be something to think about.

I ended up calling my TA last night and telling her about booking our guests through the link and she was totally cool with it, she seemed to already know thats what most people do. So hopefully all works out well I am feeling much better about the situation :)

When FI and I went to MP for our site visit (before deciding to move fwd with MP), the second they slapped a wristband on us, we weren't happy... it will definitely look stupid in pictures... not just for us, but for all of our guests!

So when I asked them what to do, they told us that we can tell people to cut them off during the ceremony and to hang on to them. Then, take the cut one back to the lobby and they would just replace it with a new wristband... I asked the question generally, and that's the answer they gave me. So I assumed it applied to all of our guests, not just the bride and groom... I'm emailing my TA (who's there right now) to see if she can confirm this...

Here's a pic of the wristbands -- they have different colors for different groups I guess, weddings get off-white:

Terpgurl... they are just a plastic wristband. Depending on how your guests have booked, the color is different. VIP Members have black bands, members have silver, honeymooners have pink, kids have purple, and everyone else has yellow. They are probably about half an inch wide. They put them on pretty snug, so you can't slide them off.

We also had wrist corsages for the mothers, to cover their bracelets.

If I remember correctly when we went to our wedding meeting there was something about a $10 fee for every bracelet that was being cut off. If you lose the bracelet, it's $75 to replace. Plus, we ran into another couple that almost got kicked out of the disco on the night of their wedding because the groom didn't have a bracelet. Thankfully, they believed him that it was his wedding day.

Ok its pretty ugly. I don't care about my guests as much but more so my wedding party. Schica, let me know what you find out! I guess its good to know that they are on top of security.

Has anyone had any guests that needed a wedding pass? I have 10 guests passes that I got for the guests who chose not to stay on the resort. I know the pass is valid from 11am-11pm. At 11pm, do they really escort ppl out? One of the FIance's friends thinks he's going to be able to "talk" his way out of leaving at 11pm. Its so annoying b/c he's one of the friends who can actually afford a nice trip but chose to stay off the resort to save money. Also, for the wedding they get the same privileges as any other guest between those hours right? I just wanted to know so I can inform those guests to come early and enjoy the resort since my wedding is not till 4pm.

Terpgurl - We had 2 offsite guests. I really don't know what time they left, but it was most likely around 11 pm. No one came to get them. With that many people off site are you requesting a hospitality suite for them to refresh? We had one during our wedding reception so that guests wouldn't have to go all the way back to their rooms.

Hospitality suite, what a great idea, I never thought of that.  Did you request this at your WC meeting?  Do they try to charge you for it?
