I am so excited!!!! I finally ordered my bridesmaids dresses. If any of you have read my previous post you may know that at one point all of my bridesmaids had dropped out on me. Well, I could not order dresses because my bridesmaids were an ever changing situation. We think we have it all in order now but you never know lol. Anyway, I am a member of the Ideeli website and today they had a sale on the Ravon convertible dress. It was only $69!!!!!!!!!!!!! And one size fits all!!!!!!!!!! And in my wedding color!!!!!!!!!!! Yipeeee!!!!! Needless to say I ordered 4 for all the girls (my treat because they are spending so much and using vacay time just to come). I am so happy! I love the versatility of this dress and I am sure that they will all be able to wear it again and again (even if they gain weight lol). Below are a few pictures of the dress as well as a link to a video demonstration of the dress (the one on the model in the video is the exact one that I bought).

Lizard - I am waiting to get my pictures from my photographer and then I will post my review:) We didn't move the tables. They set them up with some room to the side and a few people danced.  We only had it reserved for 2 hours...so we didn't dance much.  Honestly we were worn out....it was a long day. I think we were back to our room by 10. 

 

I also had problems prior to my wedding. My travel agent told my I was approved for the wedding benefits. A month before my wedding, my wedding coordinator told me I wasn't. I flipped out!  The wedding  coordinator told me it was out of her hands that she didn't make those decisions.  Long story short it amounted to what we thought we were going to get was going to cost $2k more.  I was given Lisa's email. I sent her multiple emails and left a message. I finally resorted to writing a message on their Facebook page and then I got somewhere.  6 days before the wedding Lisa emailed me to say they would honor what I was originally promised. She did blame my travel agent...saying that I was never in fact approved. 

 

Aholen - Kalena was my wedding coordinator.  I didn't hear from her until 3 months prior to my wedding.  When I did finally here from her, she was good about responding. I know how you feel you wanna get everything knocked out and reserved.  Honestly don't worry about a thing. She is a sweet heart!  I didn't reserve anything until 2 months prior and I got everything I wanted.  Your wedding will be great!  FYI when I asked Kalena for a supervisors name about my situation above and she gave me Lisa's info. It took Lisa 3 weeks to respond and that was only because I complained on Facebook.  Goodluck!

Shelbygirl - can you tell me why they wouldn't offer your benefits (i.e. comped nights and unlimited events)? Do you mind telling us who your TA is? I have over 90 nights booked so I am eligible for all of it and I want to make sure to address this before I plan all my events.

 

I have Kalena too and I haven't heard from her in a month. She is so nice so it's hard to be mad but I need some answers before I finalize all my planning.

Thanks for the heads up about the resort giving you a hard time about the wedding benefits.

I had similar frustrations and Lisa was initially helpful..but now I'm noticing Geraldine answering the emails. I had at least 8 couples go to a TA instead of our WC because of their wackiness. Now I'm sooo super anxious about room nights

I am also having a lot of problems with the Miami department and we are members. They have a new person that started a couple of weeks ago in their department. Her name is Geraldine and she apparently took over our account. I spoke to her yesterday to resolve some reservation issues and she did take care of them promptly. I never received any responses from any emails I sent to Lisa, [email protected]. I actually sent her an email way back in January telling her that I hoped the service would improve because I too had guests that became so frustrated and tired of waiting that they booked through a tour operator. Sadly, the service only got worse as our account was shuffled around.

 

I hope things improve before your wedding.

I would totally ask1!! In my experience of the people actually AT the resort- they are SUPER accomodating!!

Unless it's a different Geraldine than Geraldine Flores, she didn't just start a few weeks ago.  We're members too & Lisa was handling everything for me at first before my wedding (last July) & then one email I sent to Lisa was answered by Geraldine (with no explanation), & from then on, Geraldine was the only one who responded.  I actually had better response time from Lisa (who was very prompt with me & my guests that contacted her before she disappeared), but Geraldine did answer every question, & everything worked out perfectly in the end!  When I was trying to get my refund back after our trip (since we had enough bookings to get our 7 night stay comped), Geraldine told me Lisa would "return" that following Monday & so I started corresponding with Lisa again & eventually I did get my refund...it took a while though!  I don't know if Lisa just takes a long vacation (from May through July last year) or what, but although it's pretty frustrating just have faith that your questions will be answered and everything will be wonderful when you get there!

I guess that is just another one of the lies that they tell us brides. It is Geraldine Flores. She told me she just started a few weeks ago. I guess now I have one more thing to write in my complaint. Before this wedding, I had only experienced vacations at Moon Palace and so I knew that everything in Cancun would be wonderful. Based on all our experiences, Cancun is so wonderful because the Miami office is so disrespectful that anything feels like a vacation!

Hi Ladies,

 

Just wondered if any of you know, are you required to get your birth certificates translated into spanish in order to be married at the Moon Palace ?

 

I have sent an email to my co ordinator but am still waiting for a reply.
