My photographer does awesome work, but I am worried as she didn't know the flow of how their weddings go. Church weddings are all very typical....beach weddings are not.   I had the carriage and I'm not sure she got a good shot of it...when I arrived she was down on the beach waiting for me to walk down the aisle.  I watched a wedding the following day at the same location, but they had the resort photographer and they have it down to a science. The carriage, WC, bride paused when they arrived for pictures, then the bride got out and that gave the photographer time to get down to the beach. Same with the videographer. My sister did my videography, she used to do it as a business....she set up where the carriage was. When I watched the wedding the following day the videographer was in the aisle inbetween the first rows.  I wouldn't discourage anyone from taking their own photographer, however if you hire one...I would encourage you to have them watch a wedding prior to shooting yours to see how everything works.

We are switching resorts.  We are staying at El Dorado Maroma in Playa for the honeymoon.  Moon Palace is HUGE and we wanted to stay somewhere different for the honeymoon.  This place has like 70 rooms and is adults only.  It is all inclusive but a there aren't buffets and things like that.

So we only booked our wedding for 5 days but we are going to add 2 more days for our honeymoon are you guys staying at the resort, another palace resort, or a different resort period? Any suggestions?? Preferrably adults only, beautiful beach, and in Cancun

Thank you!  My friend who is a professional photographer is doing ours so I will have her watch a wedding.  I had never thought about waiting or pausing for certain things.  I will have to watch one as well!

Hi all, I'm a 2011 Bride, and I'll be getting married at the Moon Palace!  The actual date is July 23.  I've heard so many good things about this resort.  I'm excited, but it seems as it's getting closer that I'm having a bit of anxiety regarding a photographer and a DJ.  We'll be having our ceremony on the beach and our reception in the ballroom.  What is everyone doing regarding photographer and music?  I would love suggestions...

Hi Girls,

I created a wiki that will allow us to gather all useful Moon Palace Resort information in one spot. I don't know about you, but I find myself searching through pages of discussions trying to find information about the resort that I saw once and now need.  I think this will make our lives easier!

I have added some things that I know, more coming soon. Check it out and add what you know. If any of you are feeling ambitious, it would be great to have folks "mine" through old posts and add from those as well....

Enjoy!

The only thing I can think of which would change the cost of his services might be the number of guests/size of the wedding. SChica, if I recall, you've got a huge wedding planned. Lana, not sure how big yours will be, but mine is going to be very, verrrrry small. Under 15 most likely, and definitely under 20 people. Perhaps that's it?

It could be the number of guests, althought I don't remember giving Sascha the estimated number of guests at our wedding. We are expecting about 35-40 so it's relatively small too.
