I think I am going to  look for place in pl.aya del Carmen where starfish can be bought while im down for my site inspection that way I can determine if that is something I can buy while we are there instead of bringing them with us.

Are brides still finding that their starfish get seized upon entry?? I just bought like 160 starfish (haven't arrive yet so hopefully they dont get taken coming into Canada). But I'd had to bring them with me to Mexico to have them taken away

I am extremely worried about how all these real starfish are sourced.  Could you not simply use silver starfish?  So much more environmentally friendly and a lot less trouble  :-)
