I wonder if it's all types of starfish, or if it's those taken from a specific area. It would probably be helpful to find that out.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. I haven't purchased any starfish yet but if there is a problem at customs, you can buy starfish replicas. I had my etsy seller buy me artifical starfish in there since I will hand carrying the kissing balls she will be making for me and I needed all artificial stuff.

They have starfish made out of resin and sand and also come in different colors. Ironically, they're a lot more expensive than real starfish but if customs are going to be a big problem and you really want starfish, you can go artifical. You can go to their site Deltona Seashells & Gifts - HOME
