I just printed out the couch to 5k program... I'm excited!! The weather is getting a little better and those days that I can't make it to the gym I can go around our neighborhood pool. I teach a "testing" grade in elementary and I've been bogged down with tutoring, planning, and just general LIFE things!

I feel like when I try to run to much SHAKES on my body! I'm 5'9 & 177 lbs so there's a whole lotta me bouncing on a treadmill and it just HURTS my legs...

Thanks for bumping, cuz I meant to come back to this thread... I actually didn't start it last week as expected. We walked on 2 separate days, but then we got another blizzard and there's just no where to walk in the suburbs! I'm hoping that now that it's March, we are moving away from all the bad weather and can focus on this!

Me too Carly, I have just not been able to get into this at the gym on the treadmill like I thought. So I am just going to keep to my regular work out and start this on March 14th when daylight savings kicks in, then I can get home after work and grab the dog and we will both be happier :)

Plus I will feel better in the additional day light.

lol Carly that's the best excuse to get a puppy!!!! I used it on my dad when I was in gr 9! I always wanted a dog and he always wanted me to be active, so we compromised. Let me tell you though, I didn't do any walking lol the puppy would get tired and give up so I had to pick him up and carry him home again.

I'm excited for you to get started with this!!!! and Erika you too cheesy.gif It sounds like an awesome program. Its hard sometimes to get outside and run, esp with the snow (its always snowing here). But I just tell myself that it builds character and get out there and just do it. I never regret it either.

Thanks Ana! I did it 3 years ago almost to the day and it really helped me get over my running hump.

Esp since my prob was never muscle fatigue it was my respetory endurace. This is a very effective way to build that up.

I highly reccomend investing in a cheap digital watch. It really helps keep better track of the weekly training plans.

Which app is this? Have you tried any of the nike+ training programs?
