Any one work with Pastor Rick York??

HI everyone im scheduled to get married June 4th, 2011 at excellence. I've been wondering why alot of punta cana brides are having pastor york preform their ceremonies. The judge doesnt do anything besides the signing of the paper?

Essentially yes, a judge just performs the legal duties of the marriage. The ceremony is only 5-10 minutes long.

 

I think there are many reasons why many of us brides are planning on using pastor Rick York such as:

-incorporate a religious ceremony into their marriage

-The ceremony will be in English

-Longer ceremony, can write own script, include readings, vows, etc.

-Don't need a judge if not getting legally married in DR

Aumuller- thanks for that info. Im wondering, if im getting legally married there does pastor york do the ceremony and then the judge comes at the end to sign the paper? does the judge say anything before the signing of the papers?

It would work this way the judge would come either at the beginning or end of the ceremony to do the legal stuff, depending on what time he is available. In terms of what he says I'm not too sure. I think he will say a small bit but nothing much.

Just wondering, how much does Pastor York charge?

Last thing I heard he was visiting his daughter abroad. But should be back at the end of the month. I've booked him for my wedding in April. Another bride off of my LaRomana forum said that another Pastor did come in his place.

Hi Ladies!

 

I have been in contact with him off and on for the last couple of months & he's been extremely busy!  He was on vacation, at a conference, hosting a US team for a church project...

When I was 1st in contact with him his replies were within a day however I've waited upwards of a week this last little bit BUT he's always responded & is extremely nice.
