Thanks so much for the motivation, bondgirl! It's great to know that you've kept the weight off for over a year now! I actually mix up my workouts as well, especially with the weather being much nicer now, I get to do a lot of outside activities. Thanks again for sharing you experience!

Hello Mich1111 & melissa43,

I completely understand what you're going through. When I started working out I knew I had 25lbs to lose. My fiance (now husband) also started working out and weight literally fell off of him as I worked out doing everything possible (and eating healthy) and didn't lose it nearly as fast. The good news is, a healthy diet & exercise do truly work, but if I can suggest anything - mix up your workouts. I was never a "sporty" person, and through preparing for my wedding I somewhat see myself as one now. I literally took everything under the sun from pole dance fitness (true story) to Zumba, Pilates, P90x & running on the elliptical. I truly think the key is mixing it up and not letting yourself get bored. Running on the treadmill gets extremely boring for me and relying on stressful diets never worked for me either. I'm happy to say I've kept all of the weigh off and we're celebrating our 1 year anniversary in a month. It CAN be done! Once you get the initial weight off, it's all about maintenance and you won't have to worry about counting every single calorie. On the positive side, this can be a truly life changing experience that you're doing while preparing for one of the best days of your life! Good luck to you both and please let me know if you have any questions or need any motivation (we could all use some now and again!).

Absolutely, Mich1111! That's perfect that you've been able to mix up workouts and I agree, having nicer weather gives that extra "oomph". Good for you! It's such an exciting time :)

Congrats on keeping it off!!!  I agree, mixing up the workouts and eating a healthy diet 90% of the time is the way to make it a lifestyle instead of a diet.  Congrats on falling in love with working out .....

:)

I totally know what you mean!!!  I have been battling my weight all my life, and 6 years ago lost 50 pounds, kept if off for 3 years and gained 40 back!  :(

Some was just me not putting myself first, but some was also medical, so I am working at just FEELING BETTER!!!  That for me includes eating right, and incorporating exercise when I can.  It sucks when you fall off the wagon, but oh how good it feels when it comes together and you start working on you and feeling good again!!!

:)

Keep at it!

Hey,

Happy Birthday!!

I could see why your stomach is not use to eating yogurt and especially the wine.  The hormone diet looks hardcore.

I give you credit for doing it.  That is a lot of will power.  It will all be worth it in the end.  It sounds like it is working for you.

Down 5lbs is great!!  I hope you feel better.

I weighed in last night I lost .4lbs.  Not that happy but at least it is in the right direction.

Yes, it is, but I am feeling really good and have so much more energy!!  I am going to continue the cleanse for another week and a half or so, and then re-introduce some of the foods....it will slow down the weight loss, but there are some things that aren't allowed in the cleanse that I couldn't live without!  :)

Thank you for the birthday wishes, now I need to be wished luck for Saturday, I am heading out for birthday dinner and drinks....I have a feeling my stomach is not going to be feeling good Sunday either!

lol

Happy Friday!
