I just went to the extreme last week with a 3500-calories deficiency (1200 calories a day. Cardio and heavy weights 4 times). So hard ... But the scale finally showed a 1.5 lb weight loss. Now I only have to keep it up for another 3 months. Wish me luck :)

Hi Ladies,

103 days until my wedding.  I am sooo excited!!  I am working out at least 5 days a week and following the WW program.  I am excited to say that in 5 weeks I lost 9 lbs!!  This is great news for me because I do take meds that have contributed to this weight gain (along with self indulging during stress oops.gif).   I hope to lose another 15 before the wedding.

Good luck to all of you ladies!!

Good Job ladies!!!!

But please remember the number on the scale doesn't mean anything.  It is how you look and feel.  I stayed the same weight for 4 months straight while I was competing but my body changed DRASTICALLY.  So please don't reply on what the scale says.  It does not take into account how much muscle you have compared to how much fat you have.  Just keep that in mind while you all are progressing.

So...I start physical therapy today and I am excited.  I hope that means I can start wearing tennis shoes or something.  I have been wearing surgery boots for an entire month...so ugly LOL!!  I promised myself I wouldn't go back to the gym until I start therapy since I am very bad at "taking it easy".  So I plan to go in tomorrow and warm up on the arm bike (so cheesy but at least it will make me sweat a bit) and then I'll start with some upper body stuff this week.  Hopefully I can slowly progress to non weight bearing lower body exercises soon.  I love full squats and lunges.  Best exercise for the lower body!!

Good for you!! And frankly, we should be tired and sore after our workouts!! Although that'll taper off eventually...if you've never weight lifted before then you will definitely be sore. I'm not gonna lie - the first time I ever did barbell squats and deadlifts, I could hardly walk or bend my legs 2 days after, LOL. I know that probably sounds extreme but it probably sounds worse than it actually was. But even now I still feel a little tight after doing it and that's basically my marker for knowing whether or not I got some usefulness from it. Keep at it! :)

Oh yeah, and I hope you didn't do both the upper body AND lower body workouts together...you should alternate!! One on one day, and then the other the next day!
