Sorry for the delay, I didn't realize there were replies going on...

1) use google image search, it should come up with many choices.

2) you craft paper is probably too thick try thinner paper.

1. i've been trying to locate an image like the frond but haven't had much luck...could you point me in the right direction or toss the template up? i'm also using illustrator but am rather new at it wink.gif

2. i have the kraft paper mentioned but it seems thicker maybe -- did you have problems rolling the paper up without "bending" it? maybe i'm using the thick stuff and should be going lighter?

would love any guidance you could share. also at [email protected] if that's easier but i imagine there are a ton of ladies who would love your insight.

thanks again for the inspiration!

The boxes came with the bottles from the website I bought them (I shared all the sites/stores and prices on an earlier post)

The stick is the actual invitation rolled up, tied with rafia and also the wedding date tag is tied around it (so your guest can pull the invitation out).  all is placed in the bottle and the cork is put on (still leaving the tag hanging out)

I found plastic bottles that look like yours, but your bottles look glass. Also, where did you get the boxes and the sticke that is inside the lid of the box? And one last thing...would you mind sending me the template?? =) You are truley creative!

Thanks a million for sharing your great ideas,

the sticker I made on my own computer and printer - the sticker stock was purchased from the same place.

I thought about the message in a bottle thing but was worried about sending them? Was sending them out a nightmare money wise?

Hi! I LOVE your invitations!  I am confused though on how you did the passport covers on vistaprint.  I'm not too creative and I am trying to figure it out but I'm having a hard time!  Would you mind explaining to me how you did it? Also, I have contacted ellaspaper from etsy. Did you get them to design and send you the PDF?  Or did you have them print them and send them to you?

Thanks so much for posting these! I just shipped mine based off of yours as inspiration. My guests have already started receiving them and just love them, they are so creative :)  To those asking about shipping prices, we just put 3 x $0.61 cent wedding stamps on the box, so about $1.83 for each invitation. I had quite a bit more than 50, but still, not that bad!  I made about 120 invitations in all, and it cost about $300 for all the supplies.  Overall, that's about $5 per invitation (supplies and shipping). A great price for such creative and beachy invitations!

I think if you use glass bottles instead of the plastic ones, then it will be a bit more in shipping. But the plastic bottles look just as good!

Also, I remember another poster said that she spent a lot more for someone else to do these for her, and I can tell you that it makes sense! These things took SOOOOO long to do. I had 6 different friends come help me over several days, and I'd say it took about 80 collective hours of work. So definitely have friends help you or you'll be spending a lot of time making these babies.
