Past Brided - What time did you get your makeup/hair done?

My wedding is at 4pm - I want to make reservations at the spa for hair and possibly makeup. How far in advance do I need to do this? Is 12 early enough? Thanks in advance!

i had my appts 4 1/2 hours before so that sounds about right

Our wedding ceremony started at 3:45 p.m. and I arrived at the venue around 12:30 p.m. to get started on hair followed by make up.

Does 4-5 hours before allow enough time for getting ready photos, first look photos etc? I don't want to be rushed but I want to look newly done for the ceremony, KWIM?

 

Mine is at 4pm also....

Should be more than enough but it also depends on how many pictures you want to take.

In my case it was pretty quick it was just the quantity of peeps that affected the time. But I would definitely go for like 3.5 to 4 hrs in advance

There were 4 of us getting our hair done and I made our appts 5 hours before the ceremony. We did our own makeup and it worked out. I had a few hiccups to deal with but even with those i still had time. It only affected how many pre-ceremony pics I did, but I think I still ended up with a good amount. I guess it depends on how many peeps are getting their hair done and how many stylists they have working.
