Tell him about my BD photos?

Do not tell! I just booked mine for May 16 - if you want opinions maybe get some of your bridesmaids or girlfriends? I know my FI will love it as long as there is minimal clothing! I plan to do some shots with his football jersey which I know he'll love then to surprise him with a football (Steelers) garter will just make the day for him! I think it will ruin some of the excitment if you tell him.

I say don't tell him. Another thing that could happen would be that he'd say not to do it. A friend of mine told her husband she was going to take bd pics & he talked her out of it. The thing is, it's really just as much or maybe more for the woman.

 

I did have a hard time keeping it all a secret so I gave him the option to know what I was up to or just know that I'm doing something that day. He picked the secret option. It was nice to not have to make excuses to what I was off doing. my shoot was out of town, so harder to cover. And our place was small so it wasn't easy to hide the box of outfits.

I agree with all the ladies! Keep it a secret. He will love it! Whatever you wear he will love whatever you put on. I am keeping it a secret and I am so nervous!!!!

I totally agree about a lot of it being for the woman as well. I know he's gonna LOVE the final product, but it's also one on my favorite things to get hair and makeup done for photos! You just feel so pretty and sassy!

Well I haven't said anything yet and I think I'm not going to. I got an amazing deal with Kamila Harris and booked my session for July 11th. The place isn't far so I am just telling him I am getting my hair and make up trials for the wedding. I think he will love it and I don't want him to talk me out of it.

 

It really is just as much for me as it is for him.

I told him that I'm considering it for his gift. But I have also told him about other ideas that I have for gifts for him too. So he won't know until he gets whatever I decide to do.

Hmm... Well thanks so much for posting your question. I must live under a rock in Wisconsin because I have never heard about doing this before today. I think its a wonderful idea.

 

Do they have professional photographers that specialize in this all over? Or just in Trendy place like LA and Miami. Probably in Chicago and thats near by.

 

Someone said they did theirs on there destination wedding. That wouldnt be a bad idea if they had a good photogapher in the Cancun Area.

From what I understand you can get BD photos anywhere. I am in Philadelphia, PA and there are several photographers that do it. You might have to call up local photographers and ask them though. If the photographers do weddings and family portraits they might not want to advertising that they do BD photos since it might turn off families.

Oh you'll love Kamila!!! I did a group session with her & we had a great time! She'll give you great advice on your outfits & she will guide you through the entire process in terms of posing & what works! You'll love the results & so will he.
