Confused Newbie!

Hi forum! I'm getting married sometime in late 2010, somewhere in the Caribbean or Mexico.

 

Right now, I'm lacking true direction, but am hopeful I can get it together over the next couple of months.

Did you try starting with a list on things you want or are super important to you for your wedding? That usually is the best way to begin narrowing down a destination.

Congrats and to the forum! I second what Christina has said but I also recommend speaking to a TA. They have a wealth of knowledge that could help you out! Good luck and happy planning!

Thanks for the suggestion about a TA! I was thinking about a WC but after reading about so many bad experiences with WCs like Luxe, I'm hesitant.

Oh and a list might be helpful! I keep getting distracted by all of the pretty pics at the different resorts.

hi fellow noobs! i was very frustrated when trying to narrow down a resort. i was already set on Cancun and that it had to be an all-inclusive resort. i created a list (just looked up hotels on expedia.com) of every single hotel/resort and noted what i liked and disliked about each one. it was a huge help! i felt like i was just going in circles before then.

It's good you're searching on your own at first so that you can have an idea of what's out there. That said, you definitely need to get a TA! Give them your wish list and they'll do the legwork for you!
