RIU Montego Bay or Palladium Jamaica???

I am new here and I am looking for some opinions...

 

My FI and I are looking to get married this July at either RIU Montego Bay or the Grand Palladium Jamaica...

 

Any advice / feedback either way?

There is a post on here about problems at the Grand Palladium and I posted my thoughts there but I will summarize it here for you. I was first going to book at the GPJ until I read so many negative reviews. I also was not confortable with the fact that the wedding coordinator did not get back to me in a timely fashion and when she did she was very rude and told me that she was not going to answer any more of my questions until I booked with them. I am now getting married at the RMB. The wedding coordinator is very helpful and responds to each and every question I have for her. The sales department is readily available and I am pleased so far. Granted the GPJ is prettier (in my opinon), the service (or lack there of) I received was a deal breaker for me. I was corresponding to them around september/october. I believed the wedding coordinator was changed at least two times since then. I hope this helps.

I've stayed at both and got married at the Palladium. Both are lovely resorts, but Riu is smaller, newer and closer to the airport. You can check my siggy for links to photos & a review. Cost for our guests was very important for us and GPJ had great deals (esp. through cheapcaribbean & bookit). Happy planning!

We had a similar choice but picked based upon Price, Wedding Facilitys and we thought RMB was more aesphetically pleaseing for photo's... But it has to be a personal choice...Gut instinct is normally right!

We are actually getting married at the Riu Ocho Rios because we went to the Riu Montego Bay last year and had such a great time. It was beautiful, the grounds were amazing! You wouldn't go wrong. Good luck!

I am booked for June at GP, Jamaica. I have also had problems with commuication but after a call to the WC, I have seen prompt responses. A lot of other posts said all worked out well once they got there. If any other GP brides are out there, maybe we can share the board better to share communication and use one another as resouces to questions...
