Changes for brides at Grand Palladium Jamaica

Are you girls/ or did you girls have a pre-get togethor party before your group headed to Jamaica?? I was thinking of having one just to get the group togethor and give them their bags, and let everyone get to know eachother because both of my groom and I have divorced families so most of them have never met. Did any of you do this, how did it go?

yeah were doing a welcome dinner for everyone at the resort, the night we get in, this is were we will give out our OOT bags

I just asked this same question in another thread, but is anyone making a reservation for their "welcome dinner" before they get to Jamaica, or is your WC telling you that you do not make the reservation until you get there?  My WC first said I could make it 2 weeks in advance, and she is now saying to make it when I get there, which I do not feel great about....
