what does dazzling details do?

hey all - i've searched thru old threads, but don't know what dazzling details would do that's above and beyond what gaby (marilu's replacement) will do.....would my menu/centerpieces/decorations be THAT different? what is the benefit of having an outside WC at a place that has an in-house WC?

Kristen @ DD does go above and beyond. Have you checked out their website?? She truly lives up to thier name-- details, details. I contacted her when I first began planning a wedding in PV but wanted a wedding at an AI. She only worked with 2 AI hotels which is how I first booked with Dreams. But in the end she turned out to be to $$. Since I speak spanish, have family in MX and have time on my side, I decided I can find the vendors on my own.

 

I decided to change venues since Marilu was unresponsive and our wedding at the Mayan could go until 2am.

 

Okay... I'm babbling on.... bottom line, if you can afford DD and I would def go with them.

i checked out the website, but i think that's where i got confused....

 

if i have my hair/makeup/catering from dreams, and my photog./welcome bags/travel assistance/music/other vendors/etc. done myself, then all i need is decorations, which the dreams WC should take care of , and therefore don't need an outside WC...right?

Yes, the WC will take care of that but the DD steps it up a notch. I don't think the WC at Dreams will decorate like Kristin will unless you make the initiative.

that's what i figured....i'm trying to get answers for available decor so i can bring things w/ me if need be....i kinda think that w/ 7 months to go (and only being engaged for 4 weeks!!!!), i'm in relatively good shape.

 

excellent. i feel much more secure about my choice.

I am having a dazzling details wedding and I can tell you that Kristin can do everything and anything! She is amazing to work with and super creative. I am getting married at a private estate so I need a WC, but if dreams has one, and you have already selected your vendors, then I don't see why you would need to hire outside help!

I had originally planned on Dreams as my venue. Marilu drove me nuts, so I found Kristin. Her weddings are gorgeous, but out of my budget.

 

While communicating with her and viewing previous weddings she had coordinated, I noticed she is big on the lounge/cocktail area. If this is something you are wanting to replicate, I think you would have to keep in mind if Dreams has the man power to make this happen, or if you are able to find an outside vendor to coordinate with your WC to make sure the site is set up.
