Problems with Riu Montego Bay Prices

Hi all!

 

We are having a problem with the sales department at Riu Montego Bay. Last year, we signed a contract that based on double occupancy, it would cost our guests $169 per person, per night for at least 3 nights for Oct. 14-17, 2010 weekend (my wedding is 10/15/10).

 

Recently, we went on the Riu.com website and we found that they are charging $147 per person per night, in double occupancy. The offer is valid for stays from August 21 thru October 29, 2010. Reservations must be made by February 15, 2010.

 

Being that we made our reservations and paid for one night's stay for the resort prior to 2/15/10, do you think that my FI and I will be able to renegotiate the price? My guests have noticed this price discrepancy and want to book outside of our group reservation so that they can save some money.

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just give it a go through the wedding planner there or who ever you booked it through in the first place.
