Candy Buffet

Recommended Posts

I have acutally changed what I was going to buy a few times because some candies are $2 and others are closer to 3 or 4 a pounds. I priced stuff at Target and then went to Costcos website. Some stuff is cheaper at Target so be careful.

I really lucked out with the big lollipops and found them at our dollars store.

There is a website I was going to use but the price is more and I don't know about shipping

Whirly Pop - 6 oz

Here is a poem I found

Step right up

To the candy buffet

It’s a sweet addition

To a wonderful day.

This is a treat

We are offering you

On this beautiful day

When we say “I do.”

Use the scoop,

Choose what you like

Leave some for others

Be polite.

As you enjoy

Your tasty treats

Please remember

Love is sweet!

Thank you for joining us today!

Love,

you and him

In Pittsburgh, we have a tradition of the cookie table at weddings. All burgh weddings have this. Either homemade or bakery ordered, there is an entire table filled with various types of cookies to snack from at any time during the reception. I was surprised to learn (when I lived out of state) that this isn't done everywhere. It's one of the best parts about going to a wedding...besides the polka, that is! Wonder if the candy buffet got its start from the cookie table?

hmmm... that is cool, I always thought that it started with the candy buffet, and then it moved out to the cookie buffet and the popcorn buffet

I am in the process of working on mine and thought I would share a few pre-wedding photos of it. Ignore the microwave and cat, they are not part of my grand vision.

These are slowly sinking into the marshmallows so I will fix them up that day and just let gravity piss me off.

Right now I am working on getting these tags done.

The table I am using is 5 feet so things won't be as cramped as they are pictured.
