Engravable guest book?

I really like the idea of having an engravable photo mat for our guestbook, like on this website:

 

Unique Wedding Signature Mat and Frame Wedding Guest Book

 

The only problem is, they're kind of expensive and I'm not sure if it will turn out well. Anyone had any experience with these? Is it worth the $$? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Hi I have bought one and it sounds like a great idea...we just haven't used it yet we are waiting till we are down there....But it is something that will last forever, no fading so I think it was a wonderful idea and thats why I got it...hope this helps!
