Hi all!

 

I'm hoping that I can get some assistance with planning my destination wedding. We're looking at two places right now. Mexico & Costa Rica. Our budget is $2000 taxes in for an all inclusive resort. We're hoping to get married in January or February 2011. We're not having our legal ceremony at our destination. We plan on having a civil ceremony in Ottawa before we head on down. Oh I should mention that we are hoping to have a Jewish symbolic ceremony with a Rabbi and Chuppah. This was the only request by our mothers.

 

Does any one have any suggestions on resorts?

Do you know if there are any Rabbi's in Costa Rica or Mexico Mayan Riviera that perform wedding ceremonies?

I wish I could be of some help, but unfortunately I don't know much about traveling from Canada. There are plenty of people that will be able to help, though, I'm sure!

I'm from Canada too, but I don't have any answers to your questions. >< Do a search on here and hopefully something will come up. With a $2000pp there are lots of resorts open to you, so have fun resort+rabbi hunting!
