Best Islands for affordable/plentiful restaurants without all inclusive

Just wondering-we feel so limited by the number of islands offering decent all inclusives.

 

What islands offers the best options for guests for affordable and plentiful dining without being locked into an AI?

 

We really don't want to go to Mexico, DR, and are concerned about Jamaica from a weather perspective during our target date.

I'm a little bias but what about Aruba? Most of the resorts are not AI but it is optional in some places. Great restaurants and beautiful weather all year round.

Aruba or St. Maarten??

 

I've been to both, and loved them! Lots of good food in both places!

St. Lucia is a great Island for what you are looking for or St.Maarten.

I'm getting married in St. Thomas, and I think there are a lot of great hotels and restaurants available. Also it's easy to get to and no passport necessary for the guests. Just something to think about! Also flights to St. T are not that expensive.

I'm getting married in St. Thomas, and have found some decent places that offer both all inclusive and non AI options. With St. Thomas being so small its pretty easy to get anywhere on the island inexpensively, and from what I have heard Charlotte Amalie has a lot of restaurants

St. Maarten is amazing!!! Oh my the food! There is I believe Temptations and I can't remember the name then across on the other side at St. Martin the marina has lovely restaurants!
