How awful sad.gif After spending the money on your dress you shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable in a too short dress on your big day! Perhaps they'll give in and pay to have a new dress expedited & sent to you.. keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything turns out okay

Okay, if they are avoiding you like this, there is a major problem. I would check out your Better Business Bureau and file a complaint if necessary.

I would also let the store know this. As a consumer, you have a rights! It's not about being a bridezilla. Had you gone home and chopped off 6 inches of your dress because you didn't like the alterations, well... that'd be another story. But yeah, you need to give these people a wake up call. That is just not cool at all.

Holy Wow - I agree with many of the Brides on here, I'd report them to the Better Business Bureau.. but that doesn't really help you out when it comes to your dress at the moment. You should probably go into the store where you purchased the dress and confront the owner and seamstress - you'll make more of an impact than you would by just having a conversation on the phone. I'd tell them you aren't going to leave until the problem is resolved either by them giving you options on ways the dress can be fixed and if it isn't suited to your liking they will have to put a rush order in for your exact dress.. at their cost! Remember though you catch more bees with honey than vinegar - just be firm!

Uggg...soo sorry to hear about your dress fitting/too short. Ironically i CAN relate, went to pick up my dress last night and it was hemmed too short AND crooked...i was mortified..especially since i'm only 5'2" and the dress was sooo long and now I don' t know how they are going to fix it..i would much rather have it dragging in the sand then too short that is just way too unacceptable for me....unfortuantely another bride was there and it was her 5th fitting...to the point they had to get her a whole new dress AND they finally got it right, her wedding is next weekend..honestly..after all you pay for the dress and then another $200+ for alterations...im just sickened sad.gif Good Luck Girl!!!

thanks ladies for the suggestions and support.

there isn't much to update at the moment on the situation. i had to get FI to call the store for me and complain to get the owner to call me. it still took her a few more days before we connected. so in total it was 11 days of phone calls, emails, messages before we spoke. she said the seamstress lengthened the dress by 3/4inch and she thinks it is going to be too long now (i doubt it). i asked how they got the extra length and she claims from steaming the dress and stretching it. i am on a mad hunt for really flat yet nice sandals before i go for the next fitting. i'm thinking of going mid feb as my mom is out of town until then and she's been there at all the fittings with me. i have a few friends who offered to go with me but since they never saw me in the dress before i don't want them to get distracted by seeing me and not realizing the issue with the length. i told the owner straight up that i am not happy with getting the run around and can't guarantee anything until i try on the dress. i'm not going to lie i am extremely nervous but i'm trying not to stress out about it.
