SAND CEREMONY - how to get it home??

Question..i know many weddings have the sand ceremony...and i would really like to do this...however, getting it back on the plane...without getting destroyed...or...completely mixed together ( I know they end up with a nice little pattern, swirl in the vase once you are done..and i do not want this ruined...?? Any tips..??

Some of the kits I saw come with corks or 'tops' for travel... I guess you just have to make sure you fill it up to the top so there's no room for movement?

Someone suggested using melted candle wax to seal the vase. That's my plan...

I was wondering the same thing! Can you carry it on or does it have to be packed?

I wouldn't think you could carry it on because it's glass so it may be best to wrap it an pack it in your checked luggage.

You can carry it on in a carry on bag. I am carring wine glass I had made for the mom's and this. Glass is allowed in a carry on bag.

I made sure to get a vase with a top and I am planning on carrying it on the plane so it doesn't get ruined. FYI: i go my vase at Home Goods for $16. It's very unique and I absolutely love it, will definitely post when I do my planning thread
