I am new here, and doing research for my daughter who is planning a wedding in Mexico... December 2010. I have a lot more time than she does to do so. She had already sort of honed in on Sandos Playacar, and it was while searching it that I found this great forum... and a thread chock full of great info! Most helpful!

Welcome to the forums Cara! We just captured a wedding at Sandos Playacar, which is actually only 5 minutes from our place!

Just a note on Sandos... they do not like outside vendors on site. We were able to get into the resort because the bride made the arrangements before booking.
