Shipping boxes to Puerto Vallarta?

Hi all!

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this. We are going to be bringing some boxes down with us- but were wondering about shipping a couple of boxes as well. If anyone has recommendations on the best way to do this (Fedex,etc)

I have heard from our hotel NOT to ship to Vallarta. Although FedEx and UPS ship throughout Mexico, and is reliable to/from Mexico City, for some reason Vallarta is not reliable.

 

Our hotel owner told me that her mom in California has tried to ship basic items in the past and FedEx took several weeks longer than promised, sometimes because the items are held up by Customs.

 

Based upon this info, I have been advised not to ship, or if you do just make sure its something you can live without!
