Resorts not replying in a timely manner

I am planning a wedding in Aruba and all the resorts are on “island time.” It takes at least a week for a response, sometimes less, sometimes more. At first this drove me nuts, but once I got a signed contract from my resort it didn’t bother me anymore since I have till October to plan. From what I have read on here all resorts take a while to respond. They have a ton of other brides to deal with. I do get a quicker response when I call, so many you can try calling.
