Hi! I just joined and thought I would write a note. My fiance and I decided on Playa Del Carmen/Riviera Maya. I just started looking at locations and so far interested in Blucacao, anyone have any suggestions on that? Or any other places! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Great choice on the Mayan, try making up a list of everything you know you have to have in your wedding, then see what hotels offer all or most of them and then maybe move onto to price if that is really important. Then i would read reviews on the hotel.

Either way there is so much info on here so Im sure you will find all of what you're looking for. Happy planning!

Welcome! I know someone who went to a wedding at Excellence, and said that it was the most amazing resort she's ever been to... Just keep in mind there are some restrictions at each resort, so depending on what type of wedding you want, and who you want to invite, you may find that narrowing it down to 3-5 places may happen quicker than you think. Have fun planning!

Congrats! We have chosen the Rivieria Maya too. I think we are going to go back to a place in Tulum called Blue Tulum. It was a small but very romantic resort on the Tulum beach. We were there for Christmas and New Years and they had a great outside party - the food was spectacular and the music kept everyone dancing. They catered the food and brought in DJ Bijan to get the party started. He played dance music and some spanish music - we loved it so much we want to go back! Good luck with your planning!
