I totally agree!! So not worth spending $20,000-40,000 on a wedding. I've been to so many weddings and They'll seem to be the same. That's when I decided if I were to get married, I would do a destination wedding. Two reasons.... You save thousands and wedding totally different from the others. Also the fact that you spend alot of time and money and when the day finally comes.... It's all over in a few hours and you didn't enjoy it. Destination weddings are different because you get to spend some time with your guests before, during and after the wedding. I'm looking into Dreams Tulum myself. I've heard great things about it and about how beautiful it is. The photos I've seen are amazing. I'm looking to travel to Tulum sometime this year to check it out.

Congratulations, and welcome! I'm planning for 1/2011. I haven't booked officially yet, since it seems to be too early to do so at the resorts. But I love this site, and I've been following it for a couple years now. So enjoy getting some fantastic ideas from the brides on this fabulous forum!
