LOL! for me, the whole purpose of getting married in Mexico is to have a beach reception. Again, I am a Canuck, we don't have nice beach here, compared to Florida. Not to mention the-40 C / 0 F winter...

I told her well the parents are paying for jason. Then she replied back saying.. well then I I have to figure me out. She is 20 years old and asking? hmmmm.... what does everyone think?

I mean I am doing long distance right now with my finance I moved up north because of work and trying to save up for a house and wedding.. and all of sudden she ask me who is going to pay for her? Not only that I asked her when is she going to mexico for her friend's wedding in April and I asked who is paying for her? She said herself.

Ugh..... shoot me!
Linhy i'm so glad you have had the reply's your waiting for from your WC. I bet it is a weight off..... Listen, stop worrying about how people are going to get there and pay for it. You sister in law is not a baby she can pay her own way. Like you say if you pay for her then you have to pay for your own brother. In an ideal world i'm sure most of us would pay for all our guests if money were no problem. But realisticly we can't afford to do it. She is a bit cheeky asking! If she paid to go to her friends wedding then she can do it for yours. I know it's hard but try not get stressed out over it. You dont want all of this taking over your special day!

I'm not doing a beach wedding either. We are marrying under a gazebo and having our reception indoors. It's persoanl preference i suppose! We will be outside for the ceremony and having photos on the beach! Then it will be inside! That's just how we want it!

Raychel,

Nice choice on the suits. i've found it a bit difficult to find nice looking tan suits. Can I ask where you found those?

I found this After Six suit. He will wear something similar to this.

(Scroll down to the tan option) After Six 185 Riviera

We are having six GM so I think it's important that their pants should all match since there are such varying shades of tan. Anyone have any suggestions on a store or website for the GM's pants & ties? The thing with doing a store like Macy's is that the merchandise is so variable month to month and the items would need to be readily available whenever the GM decide to order.

BTW, should the dads match the GM?

Oooh! I like after 6 tan suit! We haven't actually went out looking for suits yet. These are just photos I found online of what I (as well as him) want to find. Yes, this is pretty much the only thing that he taking a real interest as far as planning. He's a broker so he knows his suits and when HE came up with HIS OWN idea for the suit he wanted to wear, I was ecstatic!

Since I am getting married in July, I don't think suits are very comfy option.

Even linen suits can be too much when it is like 30-35C. I came across this picture from the Unofficial Barcelo forum, and find the matching short-sleeve shirts can be a comfy option for the men and boys.

Michelle,

I am getting married under a gazebo too. But the Barcelo Palace gazebo is much nicer than the Royal PDC's wood gazebo.

Raychel,

We have not gone looking for suits yet either. I just found that doing a web search. I think they carry After Six at Men's Wearhouse.

It's great that your FI is taking an interest in his attire! I'm jealous! Funny that you mention him being a broker and knowing his suits (I assume you mean stock broker) -- John used to be a stock broker too! Then he became a day trader, so now his work uniform is sweatshirts and baseball caps! Haha. It's like his suit-wearing days were a past life. He pouts like a child when I make him wear dress shoes.

My sister and I will go BM dress shopping for the first time next Saturday when she's in town for Easter, so I'm excited about that! I am thinking of a fuschia/magenta color (almost the color of your signature) in a short, cocktail style dress.

How do you think that would look with the tan GM attire if we incorporated some bright oranges in the floral? I almost think black might look nicer with fuschia, but there are no tux rental joints in the Riviera Maya.
