Girls I need your help!

I went on my site inspection some months ago and I decided to have a mexican menu... but now I´m beginning to think that not all my guests will like that!! Is anyone having a seated menu that I can get ideas from? I´m gonna keep the mexican finger food and perhaps change the main course to a light fish preparation ????? I´m getting really nervous now!!!!smile105.gif

Hi Nan,

First of all, you know most of guests, if they are adventerous and willing to try new things I would stick with the Mexican menu! (I would love to have done that!) But we got married at a resort where you had to choose from a selected menu. We offered our guests a choice of pork tenderloin or mahi-mahi.

Nan,

My guests are from all over the world and they aren't young, so I don't want to "surprise" them too much.  I am someone with a strong temper, if I flied 7000 miles to a wedding, I expect to eat something nice and something I like, and would be extremely "angry" if I don't.  If your guests are adventuous, I guess Mexican menu will be fine.

Here is my menu

The Encounter

Royal Seafood Salad perfumed with Peach and Plum Oil

The Dating

Countryside Soup with Mushrooms, Carots & Spinach

The Wedding

Lamb Chops perfumed with Fresh Spearmint

Or

Casablanca Chicken stuffed with seafood

The Happy Ever After

Cheesecake with Chocolate

My take on the menu:

When I was debating what to have one of my fabulous guests reminded me that

1. its MY wedding

2. it is an all-inclusive resort so everyone will be pigging out the entire time. If they dont like the wedding food they have an unlimited number of free options to have afterward.

I say that to say, keep your guest in mind but pick what you like. If anyone gets that upset over your menu choices, they will get over it. I'm sure you dont need anything additional to stress over.

We picked the Cajun menu. I originally wanted the Mexican menu (and I dont think that would be a big surprise or shocker to anyone since the wedding is in Mexico). I switched to cajun food because we met in Louisiana and we both LOVE cajun food.

I have to agree with Bride KSmith here! It is your wedding.

Like Murmel we got to choose from a couple of menus (no option to choose Mexican).  I do think the Mexican menu will be great!! The wedding is in Mexico, I'm sure it won't come as a surprise to your guests if the food is Mexican :) Good luck Nan!!
