Gawd..I'm still stressing out that I can't book my resort...the flight prices are ridiculous right now..!

Yep time is running away with us so quickly - I got told by one of my BMs today - 8 months on Monday is my wedding day - cant believe how quickly its all coming round!

 

I got THE email today - the one telling me my dress is ready - so exciting - didnt think i would be this excited now it all seems so real...... i got it from an online company so they will be couriering it to my mums so i should have it next week and then they will make any alterations i may need.

Ugh that sux. I would be careful though because they may only go up! It's that cat and mouse game where who knows what will happen. Will your TA guarantee you the lower price within six months?

I feel your pain. I just checked today, and it's still up around $2100...and our newest TA has just quoted us over $2100....I'm willing to hold out for another month or so before I start to panic. Just remember the pricing has just come out for 2011! where in Canada are you??

Maybe just wait a bit to see if the price comes down, dunno about in UK, but in Canada, the package deals usually come down when it is 3-5 months away, that is when the wholesalers really want to sell. Given the crude oil is around the same price as last year, but GBP/MXN exchange rate is -18%, so it is very possible that the price will look like 20% more than last year for UK brides. Not to mention, Mexico got the flu thingy last year, so all the resorts went on super SALE mode. I spent around $1100 USD for a 14 days package last September.

I know how u feel! I am still 14 months away! I will go to MX this June to do menu sampling, so far the reviews on the resort's food is good. There is the World Cup to watch..so that will distract me a bit. then..World Expo trip in China in October and Rome in Dec...
yet..my wedding is still so far away....sigh

I am and then I'm not, haha. I want it to hurry and get here because I know it's going to be one of the best weeks of my life, partying with friends and family in Mexico for a week and ending it with my dream wedding. Not to mention that by the time I'm there, I'll have FINISHED grad school, and more importantly, my thesis! But then I realize how much I still have left to do (both for the wedding and the thesis haha) and then I start wishing for more time. If only there were 36 hours in a day:)

But I do have lots to look forward to in the next year, despite all of the stress that it'll be bring. One week from tomorrow, May 28th (yes, the one year pre-anniversary to our wedding), I leave for Malawi! I'll be spending 10 weeks there for a summer internship with WFP. I know that's going to be the experience of a lifetime Then, in the fall, we're going to do a long weekend trip to Mexico for a site visit. Not sure yet if it'll be me and the fiance going or me and my mom. Then, in January, my fiance moves to Hawaii But I get to spend spring break there in March! Then comes thesis defense, graduation, FINALLY the wedding, then a trip to Napa, and a move to Hawaii for me!

I get exhausted just thinking about what the next year holds. But in a good way

I'm in Ottawa, I almost choked when the flights came to $1200 just for PV, and a bit more for Los Cabos...that's a *wee* bit high, but ya, I'll wait 1 month too before I lose my sh&%!
