Any 2011 Brides out there?

roxmysockz - where did you get your rings from? We looked in Ernest Jones (MIL works in there so we would get 30% off if we get them there)! But i have seen some nice ones in Goldsmiths. My ering was from Fraser Hart but was expensive so we are tightening our budget for the wedding rings.

I was just wondering if anyone here knows if the prices ive quoted are any good?
Now i have emailed Juan Carlos myself and got a reply saying he was busy and would send me a price list but that was ages ago.... so i need to see what he comes back with.....

Nicy i would be happy with him and the $650 package with the 40 photos and DVD! Our photographer do lower deals but with the one we chose we get quite alot i think?? I dont know they do, do 80 photos package maybe we should go with that. 100 is alot.... oh god now i'm confused on what to do! lol.... I will prob end up giving some to Mum and FMIL anyway! ha ha

I would have loved Elizabeth Media however her prices would have cost me more than my wedding package!!! Ivan was almost as good as her for 1/3 of the price!

We went to Hatton Gardens in London mine was a custom made ring as I hadnt seen anything that I liked with the right cut of diamond they also can be quite flexible on cost! Have you considered palladium rings?? our bands are both palladium and its a much cheaper metal really helped keep our budget as close as possible and let me have some bling!

Nicyx - those prices seem pretty good to me! esp if you like their work x

I've just checked our photographers lowest packages and this is what it says.....

Package 1:
*60 printed pictures (6X8â€) placed on an album and an edited DVD of approximately 40 minutes
$ 770.00 USD
*60 digital pictures placed on a CD for future prints and an edited DVD of approximately 40 minutes
$1,010.00 USD

So i think your prices are quite good and if your happy with the photographer on site i wouldn't worry hun!

I was talking to my sis in the week and she said for her wedding they got about 80 pix, that was until she brought out her album and counted 40, she was laughing her head off she said she really thought she had LOADS AND LOADS... which she has at 40 but it goes to show that 40 could actually be enough.
Also i know guests will be taking pix (even if it is just stephens sis n hubby) and if we like any they take we can have them too so im sure we would be ok with pix. I think i definatly want the dvd too :-)
I just wish TA could be more definate about the weddng package and photog package etc, as soon as the weddng date is confirmed in the next few weeks i will just email WC at the resort and try to deal straight with her, i believe though mine is reluctant to dal with us this far in advance but i will just pester until i can confirm 1 or 2 things!!! haha

Sorry i hope i havent confused you with what to do? Personally i think 100 pix is definatly a lot, but if thats what you want go for it.... like you say yours and FI family would also benefit :-) Even with 80 pix i think FMIL and your mum would still benefit :-) xoxo

Ooooo, im getting good vibes from you lovelys about the pix, that can only be a good thing :-) I just hope when i talk to WC she quotes the same prices as what the TA quoted, :-)

 

Michelle im sure there are more packages our photog would do but it may work out roughly about the same for 60 pix as yours?!!

i think we would prob go for the 30 or the 40 package.

 

FI was laughing at me yesterday as i was going on and on about allsorts and he was saying why do i need to sort everyting now and need to know everytihng now, and i was saying coz in my head im panicking.. i hate not knowing EVERYTHING there is to know and also not knowing for definate....

 

honestly my head hurts sometimes, i was trying to tell him it must be a bride thing as im sure the girls on BDW are the same as me.... I wish i was just laid back and let it all happen and i know on the day i will prob look back at all my stressing and laugh and FI will say "told you so" haha xox

Oooo, Thanks Kerry..... Ive never really thought about what they are going to say during the ceremony, Yes, im not sure if im keen on that part either.... i will have to re-read and re-read to get used to it.
