Video or more pic hours? - Help!

Recommended Posts

I am getting married at ROR and using Micheal. I want to have a video but with my budget had to scale down the hours for pics. Should I scratch the video and have more pic hours? Or keep it the way it is? I have three hours now. I know we have two non-professional camcorders going and lots of other people taking pictures.

I haven't been married yet, but i'd say photos! esp if you have people recording for you. that is what i'm doing, getting pro photos and then asking a couple people to record it. My girl friend got married in Mexico and had the best photogs (friends of mine to boot!) and they made her a DVD slide show of the entire day and it's like 45 mins. she looooves it, it's almost like having a vidoe of the day.

I thought the video was a nice thing to have. They include some of your pics in it and it is all put to music with the exception of the ceremony. We had two hours of photo time and found that to be enough. You will also have your guests taking pictures and I found some of them had some great shots too.

Depends on how long the wedding is. Are you having a just a cocktail reception, or dinner & dancing? If you are having a longer wedding/reception and can have a friend video, I would say go for the extra pic hours. If you are not having a longer wedding/reception, 3 hours may be enough, so get the video.

Hello!!

I just came back on Monday and I would like to say that Michael is amazing to work with - he is very relaxed and accommodating to you and your wedding parties needs. My hubby and I loved working with him We didn't know if we should do a video too and opted not to and have more photos and get TTD session a few days later. Its funny because your family seems to want the video and we had my aunt my husbands aunt and a friend all turn their cameras to video mode and took video - so I am sure someone will with all your guests too!

We also chose the smallest package as Michael advised that we can start with that and change it as we see more photos we want - which we are as he took SO many great ones. I would also recommend the gardens/mahoe (sp.) falls he took us too - I was able to do a TTD in the beautiful gardens with flowers and also the waterfalls they have there (smaller then Dunn's, but much easier and quieter)

Let me know if you need anything!

Good luck
